Dr Christine Yau Tops Ophthalmology Quiz

It was an evening of good food, great company and a little healthy competition. At the ZEISS Chinese New Year Appreciation Dinner held on 12 February 2026, Dr Christine Yau,  Senior Consultant in International Eye Cataract Retina Centre (IECRC) and Director of Neuro-Ophthalmology, came out top in an ophthalmology quiz contested by over 50 senior ophthalmologists from Singapore's restructured and private hospitals.

An Evening of Excellence

Hosted by ZEISS, the appreciation dinner took place at Xi Yan @ Pacific Club, 2 Alexandra Road, Delta House, Lobby 2, #06-05, Singapore 159919. The event brought together senior ophthalmologists from both the public and private sectors for an exclusive private dining experience and some educational lectures.

As part of the evening programme, guests participated in an ophthalmology quiz organised by ZEISS. Dr Yau achieved the highest overall score among the 50 ophthalmologists present. She received a token of appreciation in recognition of her performance from Mr Ng Han Peng, Head of Sales and Service for Southeast Asia at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG.

At IECRC, Dr Yau subspecialises in neuro-ophthalmology. She also does general ophthalmology work and performs refractive surgeries such as SMILE Pro and Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL). She brings the same passion for learning to her clinical work every day, and this was just one more example of that.
