Other members of the visiting team included Dr Liu Bo and Dr Lang Zhongmin. They visited the centre for a session of mutual learning and sharing.
The Chinese delegates were hosted by Medical Director and Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist Dr Ajeet Madhav Wagle and optometrist Chong Wee Hou. The visitors toured the centre’s facilities and discussed the various ophthalmic investigative capabilities available at the centre. These included the visual field analyser, retinal angiography, ultra-wide field retinal imaging, high-definition optical coherence tomography and electrophysiological tests.
Professor Wang and Dr Ajeet also discussed clinical management protocols for a variety of eye conditions. In addition, they exchanged ideas on modern computer-assisted cataract surgery using the Zeiss Callisto Eye® and discussed various approaches for retinal re-attachment surgery.
