Ms Ng Shu Yi is an optometrist at International Eye Cataract Retina Centre. She graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Optometry in 2013. She worked previously in a retail practice before stepping into clinical eye care.

Ms Ng completed her one-year hands-on Fellowship in Clinical Eye Care at Singapore International Eye Cataract Retina Centre in 2015 where she had on-the-job training overseen by experienced optometrists and senior ophthalmologists in providing personalised quality eye care services, detecting and managing eye diseases as well as assisting in minor eye surgeries.

Ms Ng has participated in several vision screening projects both locally and overseas as well as in other overseas community welfare missions. She gave a lecture on The Ageing Eye at a public forum held in conjunction with the Age-related Macular Degeneration Awareness Week in 2015.

Ms Ng has a keen interest and passion in managing and providing quality optometric and clinical services to her patients. She has a cheerful deposition and enjoys the interpersonal interactions and rapport she has built with her patients from all over the world. The smiles from these patients is what drives her and keeps her keenly engaged in her profession. She is now the clinic manager in International Eye Cataract Retina Centre in Farrer Park Medical Centre.
