Mr Lim Yun Chong graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a Diploma in Optometry in 2009 and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Optometry with First Class Honours from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom in 2014. He then completed a one-year hands-on Fellowship in Clinical Eye Care at Singapore International Eye Cataract Retina Centre in 2015.
Yun Chong is trained in the detection and management of common eye conditions such as myopia, cataract and diabetic retinopathy, as well as providing a comprehensive primary eye care service.
Yun Chong was the Co-ordinator for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programmes for optometrists and opticians from 2014 to 2015. In this capacity, he organised many lectures and workshops through which practising optometrists and opticians can update and upgrade their knowledge and skills. He is active in teaching, and has delivered lectures not only to primary eye care professionals but also to the general public and other healthcare professionals on various topics such as ocular diseases and examination techniques.
When not performing clinical work, Yun Chong spends his free time on his hobbies which include scale modelling and craftwork.
